Sewing requires patience, especially if you're creating a self-made piece of art. Don't be discouraged by imperfections, they can add character and uniqueness to your creation and are what being handmade is all about. Keep practicing and you'll improve over time.

Your own projects are unique and and make you feel a sense of achievement. To create pieces that are colourful and useful often balance my mood when I am using them. The work I do is not so much about the money it’s about creating beautiful and well loved pieces that people will enjoy every time they reach for them. If I can make something that will make me smile, then so can you. I hope my choice of projects and fabrics make a difference in the lives of people.
