Batik Fabrics

The batik fabrics we stock are designed in Australia by Chris Hill, They are manufactured in Indonesia by a small local village using the traditional stamping method called 'Batik blok' with waxes and sustainable eco friendly dyes. The method is hand made and time consuming with beautiful results. Each piece is unique due to its hand stampled process making your own project one of a kind.

The colours are vibrant and the patterns are beautiful.

Please note: every effort to capture the true nature of the colour has been made but colour can vary in some cases.

When purchasing you are buying in half meter lengths - fabric will be cut in continuous lenghts when ordering more than 0.5 meters.

2 half metres = 1 metre.

3 half metres = 1.5 metres.

4 half metres = 2 metres... etc

The fabric width is 110/114cms wide ( 44/45") including the selvedge.

100% cotton - flawsome in every way as your fabric is hand dyed and unique.

It is recommended you light wash and hang dry before starting your project to allow for shrinkage.
